The Straits Times: Singapore, European Union sign landmark free trade, partnership agreements

Singapore and the European Union (EU) finally concluded the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) last Friday, 19 October in Brussels, Belgium.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made positive comments regarding the trade deal and shared a hopeful sentiment of the EUSFTA as a first step towards a region-to-region deal in the future.

In addition, the EU-Singapore Investment Protection Agreement and EU-Singapore Partnership and Cooperation Agreement were also signatured in Brussels.
