As part of our advocacy efforts for a smooth progression of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement into Singapore’s business framework, EuroCham Singapore issued a Joint Statement Letter in January 2019 to some members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
This year on 13 February, the European Parliament is scheduled to be voting for the EUSFTA to proceed on with its actual implementation phase. The Join Statement Letter, endorsed by European trade associations in Singapore and others, offer compelling reasons for a ‘yes’ vote at the European Parliament.
For updates on the legislative process of the EUSFTA, the European Parliament has published a Legislative Train Schedule on its website.
