Why you should attend:
Greece has shown promising signs of revival from the sovereign debt crisis and the current Greek economy is looking vibrant, with a robust currency as well as a falling unemployment rate. Greece’s economy grew at a 2.5% in 2018, at a rate higher than the European Union as a whole. This has led to a rise in business confidence in doing business in Greece.
Greece and Singapore have a close trading relationship and Singapore is currently Greece’s 19th biggest trade partner outside the European Union. In terms of Greek exports of goods and services to Singapore, the value stands at 457 million Euros. In total, Greek imports from Singapore amounted to 36 million Euros. Once entry into force, the EU-Singapore trade agreement (EUSFTA) will make bilateral trade even easier and cheaper for companies in both nations to export their goods and services to each other’s market.
