EuroCham Talk Series
The EuroCham Talk Series was launched in 2011 to allow EuroCham members to meet distinguished experts from various industries and countries. These experts share their knowledge and insights on European and Asian business issues such as trade, investments and political landscapes.
Recently, EuroCham collaborated with Cicero Group, Roland Berger, DBS, the EU Delegation and many other members to present on the latest developments in the EU, Singapore and the surrounding region. Speakers include senior business representatives, as well as heads of EU institutions.
The seating capacity is limited, which allows the participants to interact closely with the speakers and steer the discussion towards what interests them most.
European Networking Nights
The European Networking Nights are organized by EuroCham in association with the European National Business Groups and other partners and has been well received by the European community since then. The aim of these events is to provide a platform for the European and Singaporean business community at large to network and access a wide and diversified audience.
The European Networking Nights are attended by 150 to 250 participants from the business community in Singapore and are usually held four times annually.
Europe Day Celebration Luncheon
The Europe Day Celebration Luncheon is another annual highlight of the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and celebrates the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration of 1950 that led to the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community and subsequently to the European Union.
Each year, Europe Day welcomes an Asian personality to address a high-level audience with a keynote speech followed by a question and answer session. This prestigious luncheon is attended by about 200 guests, including Singaporean government representatives, Foreign Ambassadors, CEOs and Managing Directors of major European and Singaporean companies.
The speaker is invited to share his or her views on the role of ASEAN and its individual member countries and their relations with the European Union. According to his or her specific expertise and role, the speaker could develop views on specific issues that are of high relevance for the EU and South East Asia such as economic strategies and development, free trade agreements and regional integration.
The Europe Day Luncheon welcomed in the past distinguished speakers such as Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, former Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Le Luong Minh, current Secretary-General of ASEAN, Minister Lim Hng Kiang, Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr. S. Iswaran, Singapore Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Prof. Tommy Koh, Singapore Ambassador-at-Large as well as Minister Dato' Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Malaysian Minister for International Trade and Industry. Minister Lim Hng Kiang graced us with his presence again for the latest Europe Day luncheon.
Singapore Schuman Lecture
The Singapore Schuman Lecture series is the flagship event of the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. It is held annually in Singapore with the support of the European Union.
For each Lecture Series held, EuroCham welcomes a different European personality each time to address a high-level audience with a key note speech followed by a question and answers session. The event takes place in form of a prestigious gala dinner and welcomes about 300 distinguished guests, including Singaporean government representatives, foreign ambassadors, CEOs and managing directors of major European and local companies.
The speaker is invited to share his or her views on the role of Europe and its individual member countries, as well as their relations with Singapore and the other ASEAN countries.
The Singapore Schuman Lecture series is named after the former French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman whose famous “Schuman Declaration" led to the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community in 1951.
