Synopsis
The transition to a decarbonised economy is not only essential to halting climate change, but it will also serve as a driver of economic growth with the potential to create numerous green jobs in a variety of sectors. These jobs are directly linked to the protection of the environment and seek to minimise the impact of the economy on the planet.
If this context will require the creation of ‘’green jobs’’ with specific skills, it will also call for a broader change in how organisations integrate more systematically sustainable human development at the heart of their strategy and roadmap.
More specifically, the session will approach the following topics (not limited):

Ms Chelvin Loh
Director of Jobs-Skills Insights Division
SkillsFuture Singapore
Ms Chelvin Loh is currently the Director of Jobs-Skills Insights Division in SkillsFuture Singapore, which is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education.
Helming a team of Jobs-Skills Analysts, she and her team examine anticipatory jobs-skills changes in Singapore’s economic and industry landscape arising from technology disruptions, business model innovations, new care models, and other emerging trends. Her team also works very closely with sector agencies, industry and tripartite partners, training providers, and innovation-led firms to develop and roll out fit-for-purpose and timely jobs-skills insights to support the changing jobs-skills conversations on the ground.
Before this, Chelvin was helming the Industry Development Division 1 in SkillsFuture Singapore, which is part of the Training Partners Group account-managing both public and private training partners in the CET ecosystem and developing jobs-skills interventions for the manufacturing, trade & connectivity, healthcare, social services, and built environment sectors. Prior to joining SSG, Chelvin was part of the management team driving SME development, business capabilities and human capital development, and internationalisation efforts in Enterprise Singapore / SPRING Singapore and IE Singapore.
Chelvin received a Masters in Applied Economics from Nanyang Technological University in 2001, focusing on econometric analysis, shift-share analysis, and monetary policy reviews.
Mr Adrian Tan

Adrian is the Strategist, Future of Work at IHRP, to better prepare Singapore companies for what is to come on the Future of Work through thought leadership and be the voice of leading topics and megatrends in human capital development.
He was a serial entrepreneur in the recruitment, career search, and HR consultancy space, leading to two HR Vendor of the Year awards, SHRI HR Entrepreneur award, and Global Recruiters Best Marketing award.
One of the Top Global Influencers in HR Tech by AIHR, Adrian writes extensively about the Future of Work on his blog and is the creator of the Singapore HR Tech Market Map. He also interviews Future of Work enablers on his podcast – The Adrian Tan show.
Mr Gavin Adda

Total Solar Distributed Generation Asia
Gavin Adda is the CEO of Total Solar Distributed Generation for Asia. This is the B2B renewable arm of Total Group.
Over the last few years, he has founded several start-ups in the renewable sector. Most recently, he sold his company to Total to create Total Solar. This is now the largest player in South East Asia providing renewable solutions to cut cost and carbon for B2B customers.
At REC Solar, one of the largest manufacturers in Singapore, he led Business Development and sold the company to ChemChina for USD 640m. Previously, he had various management roles in Samsung Group including developing USD 1 Bn of solar projects across the US.
Gavin has an MBA from INSEAD and a Master Degree from Cambridge University.
