Synopsis
Advances in digital technology and data science can have many positive implications for medical practice. Of these, personalised healthcare provides patients and physicians with a unique opportunity to redefine what truly equal access to healthcare can look like.
Tailored solutions for the treatment and care of individual patients can better account for their genetic characteristics, result in the more efficient allocation of medical resources across health systems, more targeted research and development benefiting physician effectiveness: bringing people closer to universal health coverage and financially sustainable healthcare solutions.
In Asia and around the world, such personalised solutions are becoming increasingly more achievable given recent improvements in digital health and infrastructure permitting the use of real-world evidence in addressing healthcare challenges.
But why is a shift from one-size-fits-all healthcare to personalised solutions more compelling to patients, physicians and policymakers?

Jek started his career in leukaemia research with NUS and has more than a decade of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Jek spent the last 4 years as Director of Market Access and Personalized Healthcare in Roche and is a passionate servant leader building highly engaged teams driven by a singular purpose to enable access to precision medicine in Singapore. Jek graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science, and holds an executive MBA and graduate diploma in Strategic Marketing.
Delphine COHEN
Business Development Manager
Alcimed
Delphine joined Alcimed in 2017 to develop the new Singapore affiliate in the APAC Region. She is responsible for developing the business at the regional level and building Alcimed activities in the healthcare sector. She is working daily with pharmaceutical, MedTech, biotech and animal health companies. In parallel, Delphine is co-president of the Healthcare Committee at the French Chamber of commerce in Singapore.
Florent EVEILLARD

Florent is a senior project manager at Alcimed, based in Singapore & leading the APAC projects. He helps life science companies explore their uncharted territories and develop faster their development into new businesses. Coming from a scientific background, Florent supports challenges related to science, technology and business. He is working as an explorer at Alcimed for 7 years and arrives in Singapore in 2018.

Ai Li started her career as a research assistant in an analytical X-Ray laboratory in Taipei in 1997 after which she moved from the academic environment to the private sector as a Business Development Manager in Diagnostics Laboratory in Singapore for a period of two years. Subsequently, she joined Siemens Healthineers in Hong Kong in 2002 where she held various positions. She then relocated to Siemens Healthineers APC Headquarters in Singapore as the ASEAN Modality Manager for Magnetic Resonance before she landed on her current position as the Managing Director of Siemens Healthineers Singapore.
David LU
Asia Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Life & Health Products
Swiss Re
David joined Swiss Re in 2013, and now is Asia Chief Medical Officer of Swiss Re based in Hong Kong. His key responsibilities are leading the Asia Medical Officers team overseeing all medical-related insurance risks and their trends, providing advice to and support business growth with a particular focus in Asia. Prior to joining Swiss Re, David had 10 years’ experience of working at an international health insurance company.
David is an orthopaedic surgeon who graduated from Beijing Medical University and holds a DrMedSci from Hokkaido University. He is the Active Member of AAIM (American Academy of Insurance Medicine), the Member of AIMJ (Association of Insurance Medicine of Japan), and the Council Member of AIMA Association.
Before joining the industry, he has written extensively on his research areas and was the best paper winner of 2001 SICOT in Paris, and the winner of 2009 international research award for the young investigator of Spine in Toronto, Canada, and winner of the Best Essay Award of 2019 ICLAM in Mumbai, India.

Alison leads Accenture’s Strategy and Consulting business across South East Asia and is a member of the Accenture Global Leadership Committee. In this capacity, she is responsible for all Industry and Functional Strategy and Consulting, Technology Strategy and Advisory, Applied Intelligence, IXO and Innovation. A seasoned practitioner and visionary leader Alison has worked with companies and governments internationally and across the region to shape and deliver new directions and large scale transformation. One of Alison’s passions is healthcare and in a previous role, she led Accenture’s Lifesciences team in Japan. As head of Financial Services Consulting across APAC, she has also worked extensively with a number of global health insurers. She is a regular commentator and presenter on how technology can impact business and society and a proud and passionate Scot.
