Synopsis 

EuroCham Singapore’s HR Committee is proud to count as its members several of the world’s top business schools and leadership development consultancies. In this session, we will update our members on what it takes to build an internationally recognised leadership programme based on the EFMD standards – where 3 of our members collaborated on a co-creation project to win the 2020 Gold Award. You will be able to download the complete case study during this session. The Gold Award team included INSEAD, Deloitte, Bob Aubrey Associates, Pertamina and Tjitra & Associates

The second part of this meeting will bring together all of our esteemed experts in leadership development to share what the “New Normal” will look like after shifting everything online because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Has the content as well as the delivery of leadership development changed? The panel discussion will be moderated by EuroCham’s HR Committee Chair, Bob Aubrey.

Speakers 

Dr. Bob AUBREY
Managing Partner
Bob Aubrey Associates

Dr. Bob Aubrey has led an esteemed and varied career as entrepreneur, writer, teacher, business consultant and founder of international institutions. He is Chairman of the HR Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and Founder of the ASEAN Human Development Organisation (AHDO).  As a writer, he has published 11 books translated into 9 languages on the theme of work, learning and human development. In 2020 he received the EFMD Gold Award for his work co-creating ASEAN’s largest leadership acceleration programme for Pertamina.

Pushp Deep GUPTA 
Executive Director
Deloitte South East Asia

Pushp has over 20 years of experience, specialising in talent and leadership consulting. He helps his clients articulate robust high potential talent and leadership strategies, and co designs with them longitudinal interventions to help them achieve the desired outcomes. Pushp brings to his clients a focus on long term thinking, creative program design, and stakeholder alignment. He strives to have a significant ‘multiplier effect’ on leaders that he coaches and develops. 

Pushp has coached and delivered class room based leadership sessions for over 1800 leaders across Asia over the past 9 years and has been teaching at the National University of Singapore. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Kolkata and has worked in India, Malaysia and Singapore. 

Dr. Thomas MANNARELLI
Professor of Organisational Behaviour
INSEAD 

Thomas Mannarelli obtained his PhD from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. His teaching covers a wide range of behavioural management topics including leadership, creativity, team-building, communication, influence, negotiations, decision-making, careers, work-life balance, and managing change. He teaches and directs executive education programmes with leading international companies and government agencies representing a wide range of industries.

He joined INSEAD in 1997 and teaches regularly at each of INSEAD’s campuses in France, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, and is based in Singapore.

Dr. Ruel DALANGIN
Managing Director
IESE Business School, Singapore

Ruel Dalangin is the Managing Director of IESE Southeast Asia Limited, the legal entity of IESE Business School in Singapore. He joined IESE in 2016 as Director of Corporate Relations and Executive Education for Southeast Asia. Prior to joining IESE, Ruel worked for Roche Diagnostics for more than 20 years. While working at Roche office in China, he took IESE’s Global Executive MBA which he completed in 2013. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) and a Ph. D. in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore.

Roma GOODLANDER
Client Director, Executive Development
Singapore Management University

Roma Goodlander has worked in the international higher education field since 2000, moving between non-profit and for-profit organisations across three continents.  Her career has focused on building successful partnerships between corporate and higher education institutions that result in high impact outcomes.  With Singapore Management University as a Client Director, she works with companies to develop transformational programmes.  These programmes provide corporate leaders with new knowledge which they can synthesise into practical application to further empower their leadership and daily work.

Roma aims to match the transformational needs of companies with the best research and thought leadership available via SMU Executive Development.

Dirk HOPFL
Regional Director
IE Business School

Dirk set up IE’s Southeast Asian hub in 2007. Dirk is passionate about talent and higher education. As regional director, he explores with educational partners joint initiatives. Dirk liaises with corporations for talent engagement and development needs. He is thrilled to support aspiring leaders in their career development. Before, Dirk led International Development and the Admissions Department at IE Business School in Madrid. Earlier Dirk was managing different talent development initiatives for Siemens across Germany. Dirk holds an MBA from IE and a BBA from the University of Essen, Germany.

Jukka MAJANEN
Director, Corporate Partnerships – Executive Education
INSEAD

As Director of Corporate Partnerships at INSEAD Executive Education, Jukka works with organisations across the region identifying their talent development needs and designing solutions to meet those needs. Jukka joined INSEAD in 2001. Prior to that he held various positions in pharmaceutical and software companies. He has lived in Singapore since 1994. Prior to that, his experience in his native Finland includes several years in the advertising industry, in addition to international product management role in the pharmaceutical industry.  

He received his Master of International Management (MIM) at Thunderbird School of Global Management in the USA. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD and has completed coaching credentials at CTI – Coaches Training Institute.

Elisa MALLIS
Managing Director and Vice President, Asia-Pacific
Centre for Creative Leadership

Elisa leads CCL’s efforts to accelerate the leadership development and results of clients throughout the region, from multi-national corporations and government agencies to domestic organizations. She is also a prominent contributor to CCL’s global research agenda. 

Prior to CCL, Elisa served as Mainland China Director and Head of Executive Development for Management Development Services (MDS), driving top- and bottom-line growth and expanded the firm’s reach through a network of adjunct consultants and coaches. Elisa also served as a Senior Fellow and the Director of Executive Development Programs for the Robert H. Smith School of Business in Asia Pacific and has spent over 10 years at Accenture, working as a talent and organization consultant. 

Eddie TAN 
Head of Executive Education
ESSEC Business School

Eddie Tan is the Head of Executive Education in Asia Pacific for ESSEC Business School, recently ranked 3rd in the world by the Financial Times (FT) for Executive Education. In a career spanning close to 2 decades of which the last decade was in Education & Training, he has taken on senior leadership positions with leading public & private institutions and also worked in various markets across Asia. Eddie is also a strong proponent of lifelong learning and giving back to the community. He enjoys volunteering in various community & social causes on weekends besides spending time with his family.
