In this session, Three European companies from the mobility sector will present their profile and sustainability efforts to other EuroCham members, government representatives, stakeholders, university students and alumni. Air France KLM, HERE Technologies and Siemens will join us and present their initiatives, followed by a Q&A discussion moderated by Sameer Hasija from our event partners, INSEAD Business School.

Air France KLM

Prior to his appointment as General Manager Air France KLM South East Asia & Oceania, Mr. Coppens was Commercial Director Canada at Air France KLM. He joined KLM as a management trainee in 2002 and held several positions in the Air France KLM group within pricing, revenue management and cargo. Mr. Coppens completed his studies and obtained an MA in Business Administration at Radboud University in Nijmegen. Prior to that he obtained a Bachelor at the International Institute for Hospitality Management, Hotel School in The Hague.


Alvin LEE
Head of Government Relations, Asia Pacific
HERE Technologies

Alvin Lee, Head of Government Relations, Asia Pacific at HERE Technologies is based in Singapore. Alvin joined HERE from the LEGO Group where he was Director of Government and Public Affairs for Asia Pacific. To enhance the reputation of the toy industry, Alvin also co-founded the Southeast Asia Toy Association (SEATA) where he served as its first Chairman. Prior to LEGO, Alvin was formerly Microsoft Devices/Nokia’s Head of Communications for Asia Pacific and Time Warner’s Executive Director for International Relations and Public Policy for Asia Pacific.

As part of the HERE’s brand team, the Government Relations mission is to support all HERE’s business activities, especially linking public sector players, while focusing on relevant interfaces with governments and providing the management team with advice on regulatory developments. Government Relations coordinates high-level contacts with governments by shaping relevant HERE public policy positions, engaging in outreach, developing and driving dialogue with European and international institutions, collaborating closely with teams across HERE, and demonstrating HERE’s commitment to good corporate citizenship.

Michel was born in Marseille, France. He studied Engineering at SUP Telecom (specialised Information & Communication Technology University) and has a PhD in Fibre Optics for Telecom Network.

Our Moderator

Associate Professor of Technology and Operations Management

Sameer Hasija is an Associate Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD. He earned his PhD in Operations Management and MS in Management Science Methods from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and his BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Sameer’s teaching focusses on using a process lens to understand new levers of innovation. Using a systematic analysis of processes within and across firm boundaries, he emphasises the role of process-based innovation in creating new business models and/or fresh competitive positioning for existing business models. Sameer conducts workshops for executives on understanding the latest developments in technology and their role in radically disrupting and/or transforming businesses.

Sameer’s current research uses an economics lens to understand the design and management of technology, knowledge, and information intensive service systems.
