Government Procurement represents a substantial part of the EU and Singapore economies and international trade, providing significant business opportunities. The EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) entered into force on 21 November 2019 and includes provisions on Government Procurement guaranteeing reciprocal access for EU and Singapore suppliers to each other markets to provide goods and services to public entities.

These provisions go beyond the commitments in the World Trade Organization’s Agreement on Government Procurement to which both are parties. The EUSFTA provides firms with additional opportunities to bid for contracts by central and sub-central procuring entities with lower value thresholds, in more sectors and for more types of public services contracts.

This webinar will explore the opportunities created by the EUSFTA and explain how EU and Singaporean businesses can access the respective markets in the area of Government Procurement and successfully participate in public tenders on a non-discriminatory basis.
