Synopsis
We cordially invite you to join our exclusive sharing session with Stephan Wolf, the CEO of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF). GLEIF is a supra-national, not-for-profit organisation, established by the Financial Stability Board in June 2014. The organisation’s primary mission is to support the implementation and use of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI).
During this session, we will delve deep into the crucial topic of ‘Trust in Cross-Border Trade, Trade Finance and Transactions’. We will explore how to identify and verify your counterparty in cross-border trade and transactions, focusing on the role of LEI in mitigating financial crimes and promoting efficient, transparent trade practices.
Identification & Verification of Counterparties in Transactions
During our event, we will explore the use of the LEI in fostering trust, streamlining KYC procedures, and promoting transparency in trades. We’ll examine how it combats fraud in trade and finance, addressing key industry concerns. Further, we will discuss GLEIF’s role in leveraging technologies like digital certificates and decentralised business identities (verifiable LEI) to facilitate businesses in autonomously verifying the authenticity of their counterparties in digital transactions.
