The Supply Chain and Sustainability Committees will hold a joint meeting on the topic of “Sustainability in End-To-End Value Chain”.

SYNOPSIS:

Sustainability is not a buzz word anymore. It is permeating through everything from Food, Fashion, Lifestyle beyond the carbon emission and pollution metrics. Sustainability today impacts on a wide range of ecological and human issues, from the preservation of natural resources to a commitment to human and societal wellbeing. While the awareness on sustainability is on a rise with Governments, Companies and Consumers. However, there are challenges and lots still to be done to make Sustainability take its roots.
In this session, we will invite speakers to talk with us on the overall evolving scenario on Sustainability right from Consumers to the Logistics industry and how our actions may lead to the implementation of real time change that will benefit the generations to come.

Prateek leads the Nutrition and Health & Well-being business for International Markets with Unilever. He has over 25 years of experience with a larger part of his career in Supply Chain. He has held Global Supply Chain roles during his stints with GSK Consumer Healthcare and is passionate about Sustainability, end-to-end view of business and transformation initiatives. Prateek likes Indian Classical music and plays Mohan Veena to connect with himself.

Ms Mabel CHOU
Associate Professor, Department of Analytics and Operations
NUS Business School

Mabel Chou Cheng-Feng is an associate professor in the Analytics and Operations department at National University of Singapore (NUS). She received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics from National Taiwan University, the M.Sc. degree in mathematics and Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering and management sciences from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on production scheduling and supply chain analysis. She has published papers for journals such as Operations Research, Management Science, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, Math Programming, Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal, etc. Her current research interest is in the application of optimization tools and business analytics for engineering, service, and supply chain management problems, as well as supply chain sustainability and resilience issues. She is an associate editor for Operations Research, a senior editor for Production and Operations Management and an associate editor for Pacific Journal of Optimization. She has also consulted for companies such as GSK, Caterpillar, P&G, SIA Engineering Company, National University Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Lenovo, Supreme Components International, etc. and conducted courses for 3M, the Logistics Institute – Asia Pacific, and the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology.

 

Mr Spencer Deng

Dorabot

Spencer brings to Dorabot years of experience in logistics and finance, and Dorabot was named as World Economic Forum “Tech Pioneers” in 2019, and listed in the 100 most promising AI companies in CB Insights 2020.

Prior to co-founding Dorabot, Spencer held senior positions at UPS and J.P. Morgan and worked with Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus at the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. Spencer was listed in Fast Company China’s 100 Most Creative People in Business 2019, Goldman Sachs The Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs in Asia 2019, Forbes China 30 Under 30 in 2017 and Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 in 2018.

Corrado has extensive international wholesale banking and advisory experiences, with a focus on sustainable finance and strategy work, in particular, pertaining to the Forestry and Maritime sectors. He brings several years of cross-border
strategy work, credit- and regulatory risk management including ESG implementation. His advisory experience includes circular economy position papers, green labels and packaging waste studies and forest commodity finance policy brief.

Corrado has been driving innovation on sustainable finance through data, digital and analytics, the latest with the development of a tool to automate the data collection for sustainability reporting purposes. He was appointed as an industry expert for the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as part of the judging panel for green finance start-ups in connection with the Hackcelerator 2020.

Prior to joining Paia, Corrado was a Director at KPMG Sustainability Services providing advisory services to corporates, financial institutions and NGOs in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Prior to that, Corrado was the CEO and country coordinator for Nordea Bank’s wholesale banking activities in China and Singapore. Corrado is presently the Chair of the Sustainability Committee at the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, an advisor to the board of the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) and a member of the Finance Working Group for the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA).

Strong leadership and capability to build up a high-performance team.High agility in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.Joined Novartis in 2016 and led the team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and pursue
SCM excellence.
