EuroCham is pleased to invite you to a roundtable discussion on ‘Why Children Mean Business’, with a keynote address by special guest HRH Princess Viktoria de Bourbon de Parme, patron of Save the Children Netherlands. This event is co-organised with Save the Children and hosted by The LEGO Group.
Companies recognise the importance of and play a pivotal role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. They can secure a resilient and inclusive future by focusing on one of their most important stakeholder groups: children. What can companies, as drivers of innovation and enablers of solutions, do to create positive impacts on children, families and communities? How can they collaborate with other actors to ensure sustainable progression for all?

About the speakers:
HRH Princess Viktória de Bourbon de Parme, Patroness of Save the Children Netherlands
Princess Viktória (1982) is married to His Royal Highness Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme, grandson of the late H.R.H. Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and the cousin of H.R.H. King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands. The Bourbon de Parme family has close family ties to the Dutch, Italian and Spanish Royal Families.
Princess Viktória is mother of two daughters, Princess Zita Clara (2014) and Princess Gloria Irene (2016). The Princess studied law and economics at Nyenrode Business University in Breukelen and has worked for various Dutch companies. She now lives in Rome, Italy, where Prince Jaime is Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the Holy See, the Vatican.
Princess Viktória has been patroness of Save the Children since 2015. In this capacity, she follows in the footsteps of her husband’s grandmother Queen Juliana, who founded Save the Children in the Netherlands in 1980 and remained honorary chairman until her death in 2004.
In her capacity as patroness she is an ambassador of child rights and raises awareness for the position of children worldwide. The Princess specializes in the thematic area of nutrition. She is committed to connecting stakeholders and finding solutions contributing to food security and nourishment for all.
Heinz Peter Esser, VP, Head of Strategic Risk Management and Internal Audit at THE LEGO Group
Heinz joined The LEGO Group as Head of Global Market Finance in 2015 and in June 2017, he moved to Head the Strategic Risk Management and Internal Audit managing Global Strategic Risk and Internal Audit based out in Singapore.
Prior to joining The LEGO Group, Heinz spent 19 years of his career with the Philips Group where he held a variety of Business Finance & Corporate Finance roles in the Netherlands, Germany, China and Singapore within the Finance Organization and was heading Finance Excellence in 2013.
Heinz is a Dutch national and holds a Masters in Corporate Finance (1996) from Tilburg University and a Masters in Financial Economics (1998) from Tilburg Institute of Advanced Studies.
