SYNOPSIS:
As carbon emission deadlines loom, manufacturers across the world are struggling to accelerate their company’s sustainability journey.
In Singapore, a country with limited potential to deploy renewable energy, companies are facing key challenges to define an implementation strategy towards net zero operations. Moreover, countries in APAC, just like in the EU, have carbon emission reduction targets passed into law and industries will require major structural changes to secure their license to operate, competitiveness and market share.
The Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) of Singapore is committed to providing a clean and sustainable environment. To support this ambition, MSE has been organising an annual national initiative called ‘Go Green SG’ (previously known as Climate Action Week) that brings together sustainability-related events to galvanise Singaporeans to take collective climate action.
In the margins of ‘Go Green SG’ initiative 2023, EuroCham together with APB Singapore are organising a dialogue and site visit.
During the dialogue you will learn:
How Singapore looks to develop and deploy low-carbon solutions for manufacturing
How APB Singapore is working towards meeting their net zero goals
During the site visit, you will be inspired by APB Singapore’s environmental strategy and their focus on “systemic efficiency” that integrates energy-efficient buildings and infrastructure, maximising circular economy and conservation of water.
The session will end at their Tiger Tavern with some beer and networking opportunities.
