On the 27th of February the HR Committee members will be gathering with guest presenter Ms Karen Cariss.
Committee members of the HR Committee will be gathering from 9am to 11am.
Ms Cariss is the co-author of the book she will be presenting: ‘Talented Southeast Asia’. This book is the only publication solely focused on talent management in Southeast Asia. This newly published book addresses key challenges and the future outlook for employers consolidated from over 100 interviews conducted over a 12-month period with business and human resource (HR) leaders.
Biography of the Speaker
Karen Cariss is one of the founders of the award-winning global talent management software provider, PageUp. A key driving force behind the company’s success, she sets its strategic direction as well as ensures synergies across all its divisions. Cariss has been lauded as one of the HR technology industry’s exceptional entrepreneurs, having raised $10M in growth equity for her company in 2012.
Cariss’ extreme passion for the company is evident in her work and attitude, which has been publicly acknowledged by being listed as 28th on BRW’s Top 50 Female Entrepreneurs in June 2006 and winning the Ernst and Young ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ for 2008 and the Victorian Telstra Women’s Business Award in 2009. She is formally qualified with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Honours in Science.
Born in Australia, Cariss experiences talented Southeast Asia first-hand. She currently resides in Singapore with her family.
