Synopsis

ESG performance of companies has an impact on consumer value creation. Purpose became the 5th ’P’ in the marketing mix long ago but due to COVID and the imminent need of climate action consumers hold businesses accountable for what’s happening to the world – and they vote with their wallet. While businesses are expected to be socially and environmentally responsible consumers also worry about commercially driven responsibility. The question communication and marketing teams face is not only how to be responsible but also how to talk about it to the public in a credible way? How to tell our story to the media and to the consumers in a truthful, yet impactful way and how can we measure the success of responsibility communication? We are inviting you to join us for a discussion and best practices sharing event. The workshop will be kicked off with a short presentation on recent industry trends, media analysis and research findings and will be followed by best practice presentations and discussion.

Their award-winning campaigns for MNCs focus on social and environmental responsibility based on brand purpose.  They are passionate to help companies create value for their consumers and stakeholders – by becoming part of the solution for social and environmental problems.

Preeti has more than 20 years of communications experience and began her career with BMW Group Asia in April 2016. She is currently responsible for Corporate, Brand & Product communications across the Importer Market region for BMW and MINI brands. Markets include Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tahiti, Guam, New Caledonia, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. Preeti is also the Sustainability Lead for BMW Group Asia, communicating the BMW Group’s sustainability strategy to internal and external stakeholders in the region, and drives CSR initiatives in the region for the organization.

Marian Dang is the Sustainability Manager at H&M South East Asia. With H&M’s aim of leading the change towards sustainable fashion, Marian is appointed to successfully drive H&M’s sustainability work in the region.
