The annual Economic Briefing is the flagship financial event in the British Chamber’s calendar. Led by a prominent economist, we take a deep dive into the current state of the economy, look into potential future scenarios, and most importantly what this will mean for your business. We are honoured this year to be joined by Professor Danny Quah, Acting Dean, Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics, and Vice Dean (Academic Affairs) at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.

Professor Quah will be unravelling the recent shifts in global economy to the East and changes in the political system to hypothesise potential outcomes for the year ahead and beyond. Will China’s economy finally crash? How will the possible scenarios affect the ASEAN economies? How vital will BRI become for trade and investment?

Join us for an insightful presentation on the transition of power, followed by a fire side discussion with moderator Manisha Tank and audience Q&A. Free-flow drinks and canapes will be available during pre- and post-event networking in the fantatic setting of HIs Excellency’s Residence, Eden Hall.
