Synopsis

Sustainable activity and solutions are no longer an option for any of us. It goes without saying that sustainability has become a strategic focus area for companies, governments, and society at large.  

As countries raise the expectations on GHG emissions to limit the increase to 1.5 degrees, it is important to track our progress. That is where the role of digital technologies is so important. You cannot manage what you cannot measure. Digital technologies can enable organizations to go beyond the traditional improvement opportunities in operating results to make the GHG and climate protection measurable and bring visibility to diversity and inclusion. The next phase of digital adoption by organizations should be for reducing emissions, waste and inequality.

This sharing session on “Digital Technologies for Sustainability” aims to create insight and awareness into:

  • The need for embedding the sustainability metrics into the business process metrics
  • The government-industry collaboration for digital linkages between national policies, and compliance requirements.
  • The importance of linking operational technologies with business technologies including the emerging developments (AI, IoT, Blockchain etc.)
  • Digital solutions for integrated sustainability planning and management
  • Key challenges and best practice

Susanna Hasenoehrl

SAP Asia Pacific Japan

Susanna Hasenoehrl is SAP’s Head of Sustainability, Asia Pacific and Japan. Susanna has extensive experience consulting with enterprises on sustainable business and climate change. She has held leadership positions at a range of technology, life science, and start-up businesses including Yara International. Based in Singapore for over a decade, Susanna holds an MBA in International Business from Leopold-Franzens Universität in Innsbruck, Austria. 

 


 

Mr Alex Teo
Managing Director & Vice President, South East Asia
Siemens Digital Industry Software

Alex Teo is the Managing Director and Vice President of Siemens Digital Industry Software in Southeast Asia, and an evangelist for Digitalization. After graduating from university, Alex worked for a US software company for 12 years, starting from a technical role before eventually running the business in South Asia. He joined Siemens in 2009 in a sales and business role for the software business and was promoted to be the Managing Director for Southeast Asia in 2018.

 Alex has successfully led his team to deliver many major projects in Southeast Asia, partnering with clients to drive digitalization and digital transformation with a strategic value-based approach. During the past decade, he has advised many senior business and government leaders in ASEAN on how companies and nations can leverage digitalization to accelerate their growth, especially via education. He is very passionate about driving STEM education in ASEAN through the Siemens Academic Program, and through working with schools to empower girls to pursue STEM education.

 In 2020, Alex was the sole recipient of the prestigious Siemens Digital Industry Software Award for Global Country Manager, for his contribution to the digitalization of Southeast Asia.

 


 

Mr Péter Sasi
Vice President
greehill Asia-Pacific

Peter Sasi is Vice President of greehill Asia-Pacific, former founder of MPS (in FinTech digitalization) also founder and president of the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce (Singapore). He is a digital transformation expert and evangelist driving cutting edge digitization of urban greenery and smart city infrastructure management for sustainability and climate resilience.

Mr Konstantinos Dimitriou
Associate Partner
EY-Parthenon

With over 20 years of consulting and industry experience working across Asia, Australia, Europe and the US, Konstantinos has worked with some of the leading energy companies in the world.  His experience covers corporate strategy, investment evaluation, product structuring, derivative valuation, risk management and market and regulatory analysis. He has worked across all key energy commodity and shipping markets, including natural gas, power, oil and coal.

 Before joining EY, Konstantinos worked for global strategy consulting firms and in industry, specifically in corporate strategy at a leading energy company and as the CFO and Head of Strategy for a leading AI SaaS Oxford University spinout startup.  He holds a BA and MEng degrees in Electrical Engineering from Trinity College, Cambridge University, and an MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Step 1: Register below. You will receive a registration confirmation email from EuroCham once payment is made and it has been approved.

Step 2: Prior to the event, an email will be sent at least a week before the event to the attendees to confirm their attendance and inform them about the event details. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive this email. 

Step 3: Please reply to the second confirmation email with your confirmation of attendance so we know that you have received the relevant information and are still attending.

Step 4: Please arrive on time for registration for the event. We will only admit attendees who have made full payment to the event.
