The digital transformation tide continues to be powered by increasing demand for companies to enhance efficiency and be more customer-centric, yet significant barriers still exist. A new study, conducted by the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in cooperation with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), surveyed 100 European companies in Singapore to assess their rate of digital transformation. Two-thirds of respondents believed Singapore is ahead in its digital preparedness, and the majority asserted that a cohesive digital transformation strategy is imperative; however, 43% of the European companies surveyed still reported the absence of a well-defined strategy within their organisation. Some of the cited barriers to digital transformation include a lack of understanding and awareness at the senior leadership level, limited resources, and a dearth of human capital with the requisite skills.

At the launch of this timely and important research, we will share the key insights and recommended actions for companies to embark on or build upon their existing digital transformation initiatives.
