Synopsis
The growing interest in the environment, social and governance (ESG) issues globally has led to calls for greater accountability and transparency on organisations’ ESG-related information for investors and other stakeholders to make informed decisions. Effective ESG disclosure is important to accelerating global efforts to build a greener and more resilient future.
This is where digital technologies come into play as an enabler for transparent sustainability disclosures such as sustainability reports., carbon emissions and credits. Organisations need to be able to track, report and validate their ESG data and claims to measure their progress and demonstrate their commitment to achieving their sustainability goals. Through digital technology platforms coupled with external verification, organisations can enhance the credibility of their sustainable reporting and improve internal reporting processes. Companies can also validate and verify offset claims with carbon trading platforms.
This sharing session aims to create insight and awareness into:
- Importance of accurate, comparable, and trusted ESG data
- Digital solutions for end-to-end sustainability reporting journey, from defining sustainability targets, tracking, reporting, and validating to offsetting
- Verification of sustainability report, ESG data and claims
- Key challenges and best practices
