The ACF Singapore is jointly organised by the Arctic Circle and the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI), with the support of the Singapore Government.
The annual Arctic Circle Assembly in Iceland each October is the largest and most comprehensive annual global gathering on Arctic affairs. The Arctic Circle also convenes forums on more specific topics in various locations around the world. The forum in Singapore, will focus on shipping, infrastructure, financing, the science and research of the ocean, and global collaboration on Arctic affairs.
The Forum in Singapore will be opened by President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson and Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore Teo Chee Hean. Among the speakers and participants will be Senior Arctic Officials, representatives of major shipping companies, investment funds, and scientific institutes from the United States, Europe, and a number of Asian states. Global Chief Investment Officer of Guggenheim Partners Scott Minerd will deliver a keynote on the future of Arctic infrastructure financing and a new Arctic investment protocol at the ACF Singapore.
