President and Head of Region, Airbus Asia-Pacific

Anand Stanley is President and Head of Region, Airbus Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, he leads the strategy and future positioning of Airbus and all its divisions, including its Commercial aircraft arm, Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defence & Space, in the region. He has responsibility for all commercial aircraft sales, customer support, government affairs, industrial collaboration and innovation. Airbus Asia-Pacific has operations across 26 countries and is about a quarter of Airbus global operations. Anand Stanley joined Airbus in 2018 as President & Managing Director of Airbus India, where he oversaw the Airbus business development and advanced the company’s position with key stakeholders, including customers, government agencies and industry partners. Prior to joining Airbus, Anand Stanley held senior positions in the civil aerospace, defence and helicopter markets, as well as in strategic management and M&A planning, having worked with the Linde Group, UTC, Pratt & Whitney, Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky. Over his career, he has worked extensively internationally, with more than two decades of involvement in Asia and the Pacific region. Anand started his aerospace career at Pratt & Whitney before holding multiple leadership roles within UTC and Lockheed Martin. His last aerospace position was Head of Sikorsky’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region with an installed fleet of over 1,000 aircraft and a backlog of an additional 1,000 aircraft. Anand had established UTC’s global R&D center in Hyderabad and in 2006, at the age of 29, he was appointed as the youngest executive at UTC. Anand has an MBA, Bachelors in Engineering, Masters and Diplôme from the University of Virginia-Darden, Andhra University, IMI-Delhi and the Alliance Française respectively. He is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, has worked in eight countries and studied six languages, including French, Turkish and Arabic.
