POST EVENT

On 16 Nov, EuroCham Singapore, in collaboration with the Irish Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, organised a Fireside Chat on Fintech and Innovation in Europe.

We extend our gratitude to all who participated in today’s fireside chat. Heartfelt thanks to EU Commissioner Mairead McGuinness (European Commission) and Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD (Department of Finance Ireland) for their insightful contributions. Appreciations to ING APAC for their generosity with the venue and for posing engaging questions.

The diverse range of topics covered, from Ireland’s financial services policies to the broader European fintech ecosystem, showcased the multifaceted nature of the fintech industry.

In addition, the discussions underscored the importance of collaboration, sustainable finance, and the integration of digital strategies for both innovation and stability. The emphasis on upskilling and reskilling, along with the commitment to regulatory innovation sandboxes, clustering support, and sustainable finance initiatives, highlighted the forward-thinking approach of the industry. The event not only provided valuable insights into the fintech landscape but also addressed pressing concerns such as digital identity, anti-money laundering, crypto regulation, and the intersection of innovation and cybersecurity.

Once again, thank you to all involved for making this fireside chat a success. We look forward to future collaborations and discussions that contribute to the continued growth and innovation within the fintech landscape.
