Singapore’s healthcare infrastructure is internationally recognised and has earned several laurels for the country. In 2017, Singapore was ranked second in Bloomberg’s “Most Efficient Healthcare” Index. In comparison to most developed economies, healthcare costs in Singapore are widely recognised as being affordable, they even serve as a comparative model for many western countries. With an ageing population and increasing incidences of chronic diseases, healthcare needs will increase in demand and complexity.
The EuroCham Healthcare committee in Singapore acts as a facilitator for information sharing on pharmaceutical, insurance and medical device companies. It also serves as a medium for addressing problems in Singapore’s healthcare industry. The committee represents the various sectors of the European healthcare industry in Singapore, and provides feedback and consultation to relevant government bodies and stakeholders.
