Manufacturing and supply chains are entering a period of significant transformation, shaped by industrial decarbonisation, critical raw material security, regulatory simplification and shifting global trade dynamics. In Europe, initiatives such as the proposed Industrial Accelerator Act and the RESourceEU Action Plan aim to strengthen manufacturing capacity, accelerate clean industrial investment, diversify access to critical raw materials and build more resilient supply chains.
These developments are highly relevant for European businesses in Singapore, particularly companies linked to EU supply chains, clean technology, batteries, rare earths, defence, aerospace and advanced manufacturing. As a leading logistics and supply chain hub in Asia, Singapore offers strong regional connectivity, world-class air and sea transport capabilities, and a strategic base for global firms to manage operations, innovation and supply chain resilience across ASEAN and beyond. EuroCham Singapore’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain Committee provides a platform for members to discuss these evolving trends, share industry perspectives and support stronger EU-Singapore cooperation in building resilient, sustainable and competitive supply chains.
MANUFACTURING & SUPPLY CHAIN COMMITTEE MISSION
To support European businesses in building resilient, sustainable and competitive supply chains by connecting members, Singapore government agencies and EU institutions around manufacturing innovation, regional diversification and responsible supply chain practices.
COMMITTEE OBJECTIVES
EuroCham Singapore Manufacturing & Supply Chain Committee objectives for 2026 are to strengthen supply chain resilience and regional diversification, supporting members in understanding evolving supply chain risks, procurement strategies and investment opportunities across Southeast Asia, including through closed-door dialogues and regional visits to Johor and Batam special economic zones.
The Committee also aims to advance smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 adoption, promoting exchange on advanced manufacturing, automation, digitalisation and innovation through site visits and cross-committee collaboration. In addition, it supports responsible, transparent and future-ready supply chains, facilitating discussions on due diligence, Digital Product Passport developments, critical raw materials, and sustainability-related supply chain requirements, helping members prepare for evolving EU and global regulatory expectations.
Finally, the Committee builds stronger public-private collaboration, serving as a bridge between European businesses, Singapore government agencies, regional investment partners and EU institutions to support practical dialogue on manufacturing competitiveness, supply chain transformation and sustainable industrial growth.
